The Role

As a Technical Lead on this team, you will support Lazer’s engineers in building products across our entire portfolio of clients and across every part of the Shopify stack (online, POS, etc.). You will work closely with key clients stakeholders, lead 2-3 projects, and have tremendous impact in supporting the engineers on the team to make sure execution is solid.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of core Shopify APIs
- Understanding of the different components of the Shopify ecosystem (e.g. markets, checkout extensibility, functions, analytics, mobile, testing, etc)
- Subscriptions (e.g. Recharge, Ordergroove, Upscribe, or Shopify’s Native Subscriptions API)
- Knowledge of Liquid / Theme development
Proven experience overseeing projects in:
- Large commerce implementations from one commerce platforms onto Shopify (e.g. BigCommerce, Salesforce, Magento, WooCommerce migrations)
- ERP integrations (e.g. Netsuite), including familiarity with iPaaS solutions for such integrations
- CMS integrations (e.g. Sanity, Contentful, etc)
- OMS / WMS / IMS integrations (e.g. Manhattan)
- Shopify app store development (i.e. building and launching apps privately for merchants or publicly on the Shopify App Store)
- Integration of third-party apps, APIs, and customizations.
Deep background in software and system architecture with proven experience in:
- Headless frontend development (e.g. React, Hydrogen, Next.js, Remix)
- Backend development (e.g. Node JS, Python, Go or Ruby preferred)
Excellent communication ability with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in consulting or contracting contexts.
Experience building and leading in a remote-first work environment.

Nice to Have

Experience working in a technical consulting leadership role.
Experience with development in mobile or AI.
Familiarity with UI/UX design and branding workflows and best practices.
Experience working in or supporting sales-related engineering activity.
